About three years ago, Maria entered our life. A Filipino caretaker that my father fell in love with and married. A few months after the wedding, Maria was diagnosed with an advanced stage of Colon Cancer.
I accompanied her to all the tests and treatments, including the long periods of hospitalization. During this period, we had many opportunities to get to know each other, and I found out that she has been in Israel for 16 years, loved the country, and was happy that she remained. She mentioned that she never visited the Kotel or the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. When her health deteriorated, Maria was transferred to a hospice in Tel Hashomer, where we discovered your wonderful foundation.
