The Hematology and the Bone Marrow Transplant departments (located next to each other) in Sheba Medical Center (Tel Hashomer) Hospital were decorated with photographic scenes that were affixed to their glassed enclosed balconies.
Patients who are hospitalized in these wards are forced to spend long periods of time confined to their rooms in isolation with limited contact to the outside world.
The Keshet Hamishalot Foundation, with the help of The Scitex HP Company, supported by Sheba Medical Center, has taken upon itself to bring a refreshing change to their physical surroundings for the patient’s benefit. The project began by painting the walls in the color sky blue with white clouds. Volunteer photographers donated pictures that uplifted the patient’s spirits with the cheerful scenery from around the world of people, places and nature. These were affixed to the windows by the employees of HP Scitex.
This project brought change and opened a new colorful world for the patients and hopefully will contribute to their quality of life and recovery.
